Developed in response to feedback from customers, these unique 'Fast Track' intensive training courses greatly speed up staff training with no compromise on standards. Training time can be cut almost in half, reducing time spent away from work and cutting the cost of accommodation, training fees and other expenses. Fujikura Europe is already one of Britain's leading and longest established fibre optic training providers, and the new 'Fast Track' training courses will put them at the forefront of training providers for companies and organisations. The company already includes BT, Cable & Wireless, Pirelli, MCI Worldcom, Telewest, Kingston Communications, the Royal Navy, Westinghouse Cubic, the Maltese Government, Norweb and OSI Connect amongst its customers, and is a preferred supplier for, amongst others, the Ministry of Defence and Coutts & Co. Although it provides training services for some of the biggest names in the industry, Fujikura stresses that its services are suitable for companies of any size. Fujikura is able to offer a free one day familiarisation course for SME electrical contracting companies thinking of moving into fibre optic installation and maintenance. Fujikura is one of the few UK training providers able to offer training to City & Guilds standard, and enjoy full accreditation. Currently, the company offers both individual City & Guilds Single Mode and Multi Mode courses, as well as a unique five day 'Fast Track combined City & Guilds Single Mode and Multi Mode course. The company points out that at present, Fujikura trainees are achieving a 100% pass rate, of which 70% achieve a credit or above. The company also offers a unique range of Industry Standard Certificate courses, designed to provide trainees with outstanding knowledge, understanding and experience of installation techniques. These include courses in Test and Measurement and OTDR training and ribbon fibre techniques to City & Guilds accreditation. For companies and organisations requiring a bespoke training service, Fujikura has considerable experience in designing, developing and delivering bespoke training solutions. Throughout all courses, Fujikura say that the emphasis is placed upon developing excellent practical skills which can be readily employed in the field, maximising the employer's return on investment in training. Training courses can be delivered on the customer's premises if required, or at Fujikura's Training Centre, located in Westbury in Wiltshire, where training courses run continuously throughout the year. |
