London, August 2002 New CT-20 cleaver - set to be another world leader for Fujikura
New from Fujikura is the CT-20 high precision fibre optic cleaver designed to be the most precise, the safest and the simplest to operate cleaver available on the market today. The Fujikura CT-20 is a rugged, self contained unit designed to offer an amazing 48,000 consistently reliable cleaves before needing to replace the circular blade. The CT-20 also has an optional cleave counter available if required, ensuring blade life is used to its full potential. A key part of the new cleaver is improved safety, achieved by incorporating a small fibre scrap collector box. |

The new CT-20 cleaver supersedes the existing CT-07 model and is designed for both singlemode and multimode fibres with diameters of 125 micron, offering a perfect cleave in just one easy action. The mirror-finished cleaved end-face has an angle typically 0.5° or less from the perpendicular and requires no further preparation for fusion splicing or termination. The CT-20 is suitable for fibres of coating diameters of 900um and 250um and cleave lengths of 10-20mm and 6-20mm respectively.
The CT-20 will be available from February 2002 and promises to be yet another world leading product to add to Fujikura's list.
