Fujikura delivers XFP optical transceiver for Metro!

Fujikura Europe announces the release of its new 10Gbps XFP optical transceivers for 80km

“We have seen an increase in demand in the market for pluggable XFP transceivers, as system vendors and network operators migrate from 300pin MSA to XFP.” says Simon Richardson, product manager at Fujikura Europe Ltd. “We make many of the components ourselves through our partnership with OKI and have ensured that we have plenty of stock of critical component parts to satisfy immediate delivery requirements of our customers.”

Renowned for its extensive range of optical communications products (from long haul products to FTTH devices), the addition of this range of optical transmission modules: SLB138H for single wave length and SLB1D8H-C for DWDM to the Fujikura portfolio further enhances its range in the metro market.

This multi-rate module can be used at 9.95 to 11.1Gbps; it has a nominal 1dB penalty for dispersion tolerance and power dissipation less than 4.5W.
