offer newly developed square core fibres. Such square core
fibres deliver top hat beam profile and exclude the need of beam
shaping optics, which in turn reduces the size and complexity of
the laser delivery system. Since laser diodes usually have square
geometry, square core fibres can provide better coupling
efficiency compared to conventional circular core fibres. Square
core fibres are also highly suitable for use in laser scribing
machines. The uniform top hat laser beam delivered by the square
core fibre can improve the laser scribing speed and processing
form.
