  • Brian Leonard

    Product Manager – Connectivity & Cleaning Solutions

    Brian joined Fujikura Europe Ltd in 2000 as a sales engineer for connectivity solutions. He had previously worked as a senior engineer for BSCL, overseeing the design and installation of Cat5e & optical fibre networks. He also served as a weapons engineer for the Royal Navy from 1989-1997.

      Product Manager – Image Fibre

      Robert joined Fujikura in 1997 as a service engineer after serving 8 years in the Royal Navy as a Weapons Engineering Mechanic on nuclear submarines. Robert moved on to sales of Fusion Spicer’s and fibre optic network Test Equipment, later taking responsibility for sales of Image Fibres to the med-tech industry throughout Europe. Currently Robert is responsible for sales of range of products incl; Image Fibres, Large Core Fibres, Fibre Bundles, miniature CMOS camera modules, Panda Fibres, temperature resistant and radiation resistant optical fibres which are applicable to a wide range of applications and industries.

      • Manuel Brunner

        Business Development Manager – Singlemode Fibre & FTTH Projects

        Manuel joined Fujikura Europe Ltd in 2011 as a Business Development Manager and is in charge of the Singlemode Fibre business, Optical Cable business and FTTH projects. Prior to joining Fujikura, he gained experience in the IT Hardware and the Fibre Optics industry in Switzerland and the UK. Manuel holds an MBA from Warwick Business School as well as a BBA in International Business. He speaks German, English, and Spanish.

          European Business Development Manager – Fusion Splicer Division

          Markku joined Fujikura Europe in 2009 after working several years for one of Fujikura’s key electronic component distributors. He holds a Bachelors Degree in International Business and has spent many years living and working in 3 different countries (The USA, Finland and the UK). Markku originally joined Fujikura and worked for over 3 years in the Electronics and Interconnect Division and in 2013 transferred into the Fibre Optic Fusion Splicer team as Business Development Manager responsible for distribution of Splicers in Europe.

          • Stephen Rackstraw

            UK Regional Sales Manager - Fusion Splicer Division

            Stephen joined Fujikura Europe as a Communications/Service Engineer in 2001 where he spent 6 years in a technical support role before taking up his current role as a Business Development Manager. Since then he has been instrumental in expanding and developing the Specialty Market sales and support. Prior to working at Fujikura Europe Stephen spent 14 years in the British Army.

            • David Parry

              European Business Development Manager - Fusion Splicer Division

              Following an apprenticeship in electrical and electronic engineering with defence manufacturer Thorn EMI Electronics, David worked as a PCB designer. In 1994 he joined Fujikura Europe as Communications engineer in a technical support capacity, later assuming the role of Manager of FEL’s busy service department. 2008 saw a change in direction to the commercial side of the business as European Business Development Manager, responsible for fusion splicer distribution in Europe.

              • Tom Watson

                UK Regional Sales Manager - Fusion Splicer Division

                Tom joined FEL April 2001. He previously worked with BT for 24 years followed by a few years overseas working with military support on fibre optic networks.
