Overview

Recent trends in optical fibre networks demand optical fibres having reduced attenuation to help long distance transmission and bend insensitiveness for harsh installation conditions. FutureGuide® ACE is an enhanced fibre categorized as ITU-T G.652.D from Fujikura.

This fibre offers zero(low)-water peak attribute that enables all-band transmission and superior reduced attenuation characteristics, while converging bend insensitiveness complying with ITU-T G.657.A1. This fibre also ensures backward compatibility with all existing conventional networks based on G.652 fibres. FutureGuide ACE helps cable manufacturers to design cost-effective and aggressive higher fibre-count cable designs that assist telecom operators to plan for higher fibre density installations. Furthermore, reduced attenuation characteristics ensure longer transmission distance with fewer number of amplifiers, which contributes to the reduction of total cost. FutureGuide ACE is suitable for long-haul to access networks of 40Gbps, 100Gbps and beyond.

Features

  • Reduced attenuation with zero(low)-water peak (superior to conventional ITU-T G.652.D fibres)
  • Improved macrobend performance exceeding ITU-T G.652.D (complying with ITU-T G.657.A1)
  • Full Compatibility with existing G.652 fibres
