Overview

This aerial drop cable is specifically designed for fibre-to-the-subscriber applications. It is a round, all dielectric cable ideally suited for self-supporting drop-type installations as well as in lashed or conduit builds.

Applications

Six-fibre design

Typical spans with 2.0% installation sag:

  • NESC Heavy 100ft (30 metres)
  • NESC Medium 185ft (56 metres)
  • NESC Light 370ft (113 metres)

12-fibre design

Design typical spans with 2.0% installation sag:

  • NESC Heavy 75ft (23 metres)
  • NESC Medium 140ft (43 metres)
  • NESC Light 260ft (75 metres)

Note: Typical installations should not be more than four to six spans. Point-to-point distance should not exceed 400ft.
