Fujikura pioneered the manufacture of PANDA fibre (which stands for "Polarisation Maintaining and Reduced Absorption") in the 1970s and we are the global leader in Polarisation Maintaining Optical Fibres.
Fujikura PANDA fibres have superior polarisation-maintaining optical properties because of the symmetrical accuracy in the cross section and the uniform constitution of stress applying parts. Based on Fujikura's fibre technology, PANDA fibres have a universal quality with not only low polarisation-crosstalk and low attenuation, but also broad suitability for fusion splicing or optical connectors.
With low attenuation and excellent Brirefringence for demanding applications, our fibres are the industry standard. We offer a wide range of PANDA fibres with operating wavelengths from 400nm to 1550nm and we also supply a wide range of coating types such as UV, UV/Polyamide PVC cord, flame retardant, reduced diameter, and Polyimide for high temperature applications. We also can manufacture custom polarisation maintaining fibres.
