Overview

Fujikura offers high-performance plastic optical fibers with a highly transparent PMMA (polymethylmethacrylate) core and fluoropolymer cladding for medical applications. The range of fibres are becoming the material of choice for illumination in emerging and next generation single use medical devices.

We offer a selectable outer diameter for enhancing the flexibility of your product design. Outer diameters are available in the following sizes: 0.50mm, 0.40mm, 0.30mm, 0.20mm. Conventional NA 0.5 or High NA 0.63 are available with a wider spread angle, offering a larger illuminated area compared to conventional fibres.
