The FSM-100 series has the revolutionary 'Split V-groove'
clamping system. V-groove or clamp parts do not need to be
changed, and it is
programmable for any fiber or coating size providing reliable
results on fiber
The "Plasma Zone" fiber positioning system incorporates
electrode positioning techniques to provide unprecedented
splicing LDF, heat sensitive fibers or small diameter fibers.
With a new fiber imaging technology, Interrelation Profile
Alignment 2 (IPA2) and splicing capabilities are possible with
polarization maintaining (PM) fiber type. Longer fiber tapering
possible with Fujikura's Sweep Arc technology. Incorporating cold
(CSI) and warm splice image (WSI) technologies, the optical
provides a number of advanced features including improved loss
capabilities, fiber image performance with both large and small
or heat sensitive fibers. Users can program multi-step glass
operations to include non-splicing operations such as generate
tapers or ball
The Fujikura FSM-100P specialty fiber fusion splicer now
includes a new observation method for fiber rotational alignment.
IPA2 provides an enhanced alignment technique for shaped and
multi-core fibers. This is in addition to the previously existing
FSM100P alignment capabilities.

FEL provides the authorized repair facility for Fujikura
splicing products in the UK. FEL service teams are fully trained in
repair and adjustment procedures in strict accordance with Fujikura
